Stranger Sims – Introduction

Welcome to Stranger Sims, a Sims 4 gameplay blog set in the custom world of Caledonia Springs.

The spiritual successor to The Trials And Tribulations Of Sim Heights, many of the Sims which featured in that blog will return, alongside a variety of others both familiar and previously unseen.

One major issue encountered throughout ‘Sim Heights’ was 50+ households and major population bloat from the outset. To combat this, the plan is to incorporate a number of challenges and restrictions from day one.

Overarching “Population Control” restrictions, adapted from the Prosperity-style Rules, revised by DionysusDreams, will be augmented by additional challenges, pre-assigned to specific Sims, and which will kick in if the associated Sim is added to play.

“Population Control” restrictions

Bonuses/ Penalties from any other challenge(s) will be calculated as normal.

Oh, and don’t forget the Mods, there are a number of mods, methodically catalogued and checked for conflicts, at least until they were not… The total Mods currently stands at 161 however these are being (re)catalogued and evaluated for continued use so this number is likely to change and only a handful of ‘core’ mods are currently installed. I will not be providing a full list of every Mod used however will answer any queries on a case by case basis.
